Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines the best elements of ping pong and tennis. It’s the ultimate team and social sport for all ages!

Pickleball offers participants an opportunity to combine the most exciting elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis in a fast-paced, easy-to-learn game for four players.

Adult Pickleball Lessons

New Learners & Beginners (0 to 1.5 rating)

Students learn scoring, strokework and footwork fundamentals in preparation for doubles play. Pickleball safety, court etiquette, and sport-specific vocabulary are developed.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding scoring and positioning prior to the start of a point
  • Developing a consistent serve
  • Developing a neutral grip that allow for ease of both forehand and backhand shotmaking
  • Maintaining a dink rally
  • Ball tracking and moving safely on court
Advanced Beginner (2.0 or 2.5 rating)

Matchplay strategy and developing strokework/footwork consistency are points of emphasis. At this level, students should be comfortable rallying from the non-volley zone, serving and familiar with basic matchplay positioning and scoring. 

Learning Objectives

  • Moving to and controlling the kitchen
  • Developing a deep serve
  • Developing overhead swings
  • Maintaining a rally from the baseline
  • Learning an economy of footwork at the non-volley zone line
Intermediate (3.0 or 3.5 rating)

Higher-level shot-making and court-positioning are explored. Students at this level are relatively consistent rallyers from all positions on the court and look to take the next step forward through refining multiple stroke and positioning options. Students at this level should exhibit sufficient shot control in order to attack opponents’ weaknesses.

Learning Objectives

  • Improve footwork/positioning in relation to your partner & Introduction to ‘stacking’
  • Development of serve options (deep/short/down-the-middle/out-wide)
  • Topspin/backspin development as it relates to shot placement/selection
  • Developing rally ‘reset’ and rally ‘speed-up’ options
  • Improving execution of ‘third shot drops’ and ‘third shot drives’
Advanced (4.0 or 4.0+ rating)

Students at this level: (1) are capable of lengthy rallies from anywhere on the court, (2) are extremely patient, and (3) can easily change the speed, spin, and positioning of a shot when the time is right. Point play simulation and advanced shot development are also explored in this group. Students at this level should be extremely adept at modifying style of play to maximize win percentage.

Learning Objectives 

  • Fine-tuning shot placement/selection/consistency
  • High-level footwork is further improved through structured conditioning to account for the rigors/length of advanced play
  • Development of specialty shots (Ernies, Berts, ATPs, etc.)
  • Learning differences in recreational vs competitive (i.e. tournament) play
  • Exposure to singles play may be explored
Drill & Play Pickleball Class

In this dynamic class, you’ll engage in a variety of drills aimed at skill building and increasing your repetitions. You’ll also participate in play-based games and exercises to enhance your point play and strategic experience. Join us to take your pickleball game to the next level with focused drills and exciting gameplay!

Youth Pickleball Lessons

Pickleball is an amazing sport for all ages and the perfect game to play as a family. Our youth classes focus on fun and stroke development to get players match ready in no time!

New Learners & Beginners

Students learn scoring, shot and footwork fundamentals in preparation for doubles play. Players will participate in rally and drill based activities with a focus on ball control and consistency.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding scoring and positioning prior to the start of a point
  • Developing a consistent serve
  • Developing both forehand and backhand groundstrokes
  • Maintaining a dink rally
  • Ball tracking
Advanced Beginner

At this level, students should be comfortable rallying from the non-volley zone, serving and familiar with basic matchplay positioning and scoring.
